[amsat-bb] ARISS/SO-41 Status?

What is the status of the ARISS packet system? The just-received edition
of ANS states that the system is operational. 
 
I just listened out on 145.8 on the 2015Z pass over the Eastern U.S.,
and nothing was heard.

PS: Same question on SO-41. Not hearing a thing on a daylight US pass.
