Hi Luc VE2DWE,
The SPACE CONFERENCE WARC for Space Telecommunicatiom Geneva, 1971
predates the use of 432.15 MHz for amateur satellite service (ASS)
In that Conference the decision to adopt the 435-438 MHz band for the
amateur satellite service ( ASS ) was ratified during plenary meeting .
Is in that Conference 1971 that ASS was ,decided, accepted and added
to the ITU regulation on definition 84 ATA
" This is Amateur-satellite service: a radiocommunication service using
space stations on earth satellites for the same purpose as those of the
amateur service."
Is in that Geneva 1971 Space Conference that the amateur satellite service
previously confined in 144-146 MHz was allocated to the following bands:
7000 to 7100 KHz
14000 to 14250 KHz
21000 to 21450 KHz
28000 to 29700 KHz
144 to 146 MHz
435 to 438 MHz
24,0 to 24,05 GHz
This constitutes a factual record of the events affecting the amateur
service during the WARC-79
OSCAR-7 was launched nov 15, 1974 and as a PARADOX it is tree years
after the above 1971 ITU Geneva Space Conference when already the ASS
was defined and the 435-438 MHz was allocated to it.
For more detailed informations on this matter read please the
IARU Region 1-2-3 document published August 1971
