Yes; rtty telemetry was used occasionally. It also had an on/off keying
mode rather than the usual fsk (saved battery power).
Listening to the 70cm beacon this morning it was on fsk but the shift was
much wider than the usual 850Hz, when I tuned in one of the shifts it just
sounded like cw (well, it *was* cw, albeit in wide-fsk).
