Great info!  What would the pros/cons be of using a v/u or u/v transponder?

Clearly the noise levels are higher, but folks are already making EME
contacts with both of these bands.  Digital bit rates would be lower,
but still possible.  Wouldn't antenna beam widths be wider as well?
