Hello Gabriel,
it is not the software that requires modifications of the TS-790E/A. You can
steer the radio with SatPC32 for Doppler correction without any
modification. The problem is that the RX is mute for about 100 mSec
when a CAT command is sent to the radio. That is a peculiarity of the radio
and regardless of the software. With FM voice repeaters that will be no
problem. With SSB satellites however it can be one. To tune the radio via
mouse or keyboard requires a sequence of  CAT commands, to tune it via the
VFO knob requires to poll the RX VFO in short periods.  So the RX will be
mute for some time. Perhaps you test that yourself.

The solution I mentioned in the instruction file for that radio comes from
Kenwood.
