Hi David,
It's up to the users now. Transmit a 1-2 second signal with a 74 Hz PL tone
to turn the repeater on for 10 minutes, then use a 67 Hz tone to transmit
through the repeater. The downlink is only on when there is a valid tone on
the uplink just like a terrestrial repeater. I was on it here in FL a few
days ago and it sounded fine.
