The current schedule shows that the AO-51 Mode-S voice downlink will be
turned on from the 28th to 31st of this month.

There are quite a few of us who have been waiting to test out our Mode-S
receive hardware.

Out of interest I will be using a quad patch antenna into a modified
2500HG MMDS downconverter which I have successfully used with several
different receivers before.

What is different this time is that I will be feeding the output into a
Microwave Modules Transverter and then into a Softrock V5 and/or
Softrock V7 Software Defined Radio. For the software side I will be
running the latest DttSP dsp code on Linux along with the GUI front end
that I have written in Java.

Regards,
