I also found the ICOM-910 lacking a keying output for a POWER AMP.
AND, I think it is a good idea.
Scott Townley's response is definitely the reason.
A sequencer must be used to get the correct keying delay for the PWR AMP
or you can kiss your preamp good buy. The sequencer fires the PWR AMP and
PRE AMP at appropriate times to ensure that you don't blow the PRE AMP.
I use the SSB Electronics sequencer and key it with a connection from my
DESK MIKE.
