The family of Jack Riggs, N7AM (SK) is still looking for a good home for
Jack's 30-foot aluminum-mesh dish. Since I originally posted the info last
April there has been some interest but no takers as yet. They have someone
nearby who has offered to take it down for its salvage value (there is a lot
of aluminum up there!) but would rather it went to a ham that could actually
use it. If no one takes it soon it will have to go for scrap.
If you are interested, please contact Jack's son-in-law, Ben Pedersen at
(360) 377-2259 to discuss and make arrangements. Please do not email me,
call Ben directly.
There is a set of pictures of it in the photo gallery at:
http://www.kkn.net/~tree/gallery/n7am
It uses a prop-pitch motor for azimuth rotation and a hydraulic system for
elevation. These components would be included with the antenna and mount
but there is no tracking electronics/computer/software available with it.
Thanks.
Randy, W7HR
