And more than that .. the perfect platform to build apps for that
promote ham radio in variously subtle ways.
(Imagining an inexpensive kit-buildable transceiver that plugs into an
OLPC, with free downloadable software custom tailored to it, targeting
PSK31 or other common narrowband digital modes .. :D )
