you will find a lot of hits regarding this issue in Google with the 
keywords:
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT

One of the suggested solutions:

>Start/Search type in autoexec.nt you will see one in the c:\winnt\repair
>folder right click on it and select COPY
>Now open Explore and Paste it in the C:\winnt\system32 folder......
