Hi,

I have to chime in and also vote for the re-introduction of PL on AO-51.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment about capture effect and just being
better than the pirates, I also agree with the comments about battery
power etc.

To add another perspective to the mix, I am sure there are many that
would find it hard to differentiate between legitimate and
non-legitimate traffic. Being one of those people that can only speak
English, and not Indonesian, Malaysian, Cantonese etc etc, it's a little
hard to differentiate between real amateurs and pirates. Though I admit
regular exchange of callsigns is the habit of amateurs, it can still be
tough with
Multiple stations.

At least with PL, you can determine that there was real "intent" to be
on the bird.
