Folks:

I guess the fact that this reflector has an open format and (nearly)
no moderation is something each must value. This means ignoring many
of the posts of questionable language and intent. I hit the delete
button often. If a post is really beyond good taste, then one is
free to respond to author and point this out to them. I do think
that posting replies to ALL on the reflector is mostly
counter-productive in these cases and leads to more inflamatory
language. Better to post privately and directly to the originator in
these cases.

Luc has been frequent poster of material that is a little over the
edge, but his freedom to be able to post here maintains a freedom
that is integral to the internet experience. Once we proceed down
the path of censorship this list will cease to be (very) useful.

Like it or NOT: the Amsat-bb has become a forum for review of Amsat
policies and practices. If we can remember to keep our criticisms
neutral and avoid personalizing them, this will continue to be a
positive tool for both members, the officers and board members, and
the greater satellite community.

Frankly, I think that the "official" Amsat has shown a lot of
restraint considering the nature of some of the "attacks" that have
gone on this reflector.

This is my personal opinion.
