Fred,
Can you change memory channels on the 2000 from the remote end?  I'm
thinking that you could easily setup a bunch of channels with the
frequencies for Doppler correction and then be able to change the
channel remotely to fix your Doppler shift.  Again, speculating as I'm
not aware of the capabilities from the remote end.
