I have a Glen Martin 8' roof tower that I use for
Field Day. The rotor is "split", with the Az unit
inside the tower, and the El unit on an 8' aluminum
mast. Prior to dedicating this setup to Field Day, I
had it up on my roof mounted on a homebrew
non-penetrating roof mount made of aluminum angle, and
the thick "rubber" pads they use for commercial
nprm's.
Sorry I don't have any pictures, but the setup worked
great.
Now if I just had the *time* to operate more!
