Yes.. ! 1 litre of water is 1 Kilogram, in fact the entire metric 
weight system is based on this. 1000 Litres of water is 1 metric 
Tonne, (1000 Kg ) 1 ml of water is 1 gram. Plus the bonus of working 
in decimal points rather than fractions.
