Dear Friends,
I am a little hazy on the exact details
as it was a while ago but I remember seeing
the 1938 film "Nancy Drew - Detective" based
on the book of the same title.
Nancy and her boyfriend Ted get locked in
the cellar of an old house by the bad guys.
They cannot get out but looking around,
they discover an old wireless spark-gap set.
They get it working and transmit their
location in morse code. The spark-gap
transmitter causes interference to
every radio in the neighborhood and
someone realizes it is morse code and
decodes the message. The police come and
save them from the cellar and they
help to find the bad guys.
Good thing that so many people knew
morse code back then :)
