Hi Bruce,

Well something's working. I just finished the 03:30z pass here. I heard a
couple of partial calls on the 2401.200+/- ghz downlink - VE7C?? and another
partial suffix. The pass started with someone with a nice clear signal and
a Spanish/Mexican accent. There was a call sign, but I didn't catch it.

However, I was not able to get into the bird myself on 1268.700 +/-. Not
even a change in static, even right after I heard an apparent full-quieting
"kerchunk". This is with my new and unproven helix antenna, so I have one
too many unknowns here to know what the problem is. I did follow the same
doppler process on the L-band uplink, and also swept the general vicinity,
so that shouldn;t have been the problem, and the pass peaked at about 50
degrees. Nothing back from my uplink.

Anybody else have a go at it?

Greg KO6TH.

Either my S-Band D/L is not working or the sat never shifted into the
new
mode. Comments from the bb.
