Alan,
the Labjack U3 works on Vista 32 with the Labjack Vista driver (beta 
version) that can be downloaded from the Labjack website. The Labjack U12 
uses the USB HID drivers that come with Windows. It works on Windows Vista 
32 and even on Vista 64 without any driver update.
I have successfully tested all these options.

Another point: If you want to modify auxiliary files manually you have to 
consider the new Vista User Account Control (UAC). I have described that on 
my website (Vista Compatibility).
