Nice to hear from you.

This is what I understand about the IC-910H.  In non-satellite mode, the
MAIN band is on the top of the LCD and the SUB band is at the bottom.  This
means that TX can only occur on the top (MAIN BAND) and RX is possible on
top (MAIN) and on the bottom (SUB).

However, if satellite mode is engaged, this is reverse.  Meaning the MAIN
band (where you can TX) is now on the bottom of the LCD display.  And the
SUB band (where you can only RX) is now on the top of the LCD display.

Nothing very much different, other than they are the opposite in satellite
and non-satellite mode.  One thing that I have learn is that, when using
WISPDDE client + IC-910H, when not in satellite mode, the RX (downlink)
comes on top (as the main band) and the TX (uplink) comes on the bottom (as
sub band).  Then when PTT is keyed, you transmit on the downlink instead of
the uplink.  This forces me to use the satellite mode even for non-linear
transponder satellites such as AO-51 and GO-32.

Simple question about the manual...

On page 19 there is a statement:

"....transmission can only be transmitted on the MAIN band - not on the SUB
band. In the case of satellite operation, the SUB band is used for the
transmission band."

This seems to be contradictory - could anyone tell me what it actually
means/
