If you are using the Icom remote preamps with the
Icom910, you are stuck!

You can not get a valid SWR return when the Premaps
are installed. 

You have to stick the SWR meter between the Antenna
and the Preamp, not between the Radio and Preamp,
which is how you may have it setup now.

The Preamp Power switch may also damage your SWR
meter.
