Get some ferrite donuts and wind the speaker leads thru them a couple
times. You may have to use ferrite chokes on the power lead to the
speaker, also. The real expensive solution is to buy RFI immune
computer speakers from MFJ. On your wife's computer speakers solder
a disc ceramic capacitor across the leads menioned, above (probably
.001 mfd, rated for 500v or 1kv). For HF RFI one could use .01 mfd.
I think Radio Shack is carrying some clamp-on ferrite beads that
might go on easy. If you notice these are now standard on the VGA
leads to computer monitors! The Computer folks are beginning to learn.
This works for stereo RFI as well.
