The ISS crew turned the radio off to support the EVA that occurred last
night/this morning and is currently scheduled to sleep until 0600 UTC on
Wednesday. I would not expect to hear the crossband repeater any earlier
than that.
I've heard a couple of reports of folks hearing themselves but have no
indication that the crossband repeater is active. It may be that they
are hearing their third harmonic on the UHF side with a wide receiver or
excessive Doppler correction. If you are hearing others, then the
repeater is more likely active.

Has anyone had a cross-band QSO or heard yourself on ISS? Is ISS
actually in cross-band mode?
I may have heard myself at 1558Z just now, but there was a lot of crud
along with any signal, so it was probably nothing. Certainly no other
sigs in my 4 minute window.
Tnx and 73,
