Hi Mark,
I actually investigated that when I was shopping for used radios because I
didn't know what brand I was going to ultimately get. Problem is, it would
take two comports and I'd have to build a second rig/PC interface as well.
The Icom's are supposed to avoid having to do that. I have made some
progress tonight though, I actually had the 706 tracing the 10 meter
downlink of AO-7 while the 820 was tracing the 2 meter uplink. The doppler
tracking frequency changes just seemed much slower than I remember with my
TS-2000. Could just be my memory though... hi hi. I should say I was
theoretically tracking AO-7, I wasn't actually listening and have no idea
what mode it was really in. My antenna system is still in a bit of disarray.
Still using the SAEBRTrack and Gemini OR-360 rotators though!
