I have had good luck with the Olympus VN120. It has a
variable mic setting and I use it with an Icom
handheld. I purchased it on eBay I believe for less
than $20.00.
I use patch cords from the handheld audio to the
recorder and from there to the earphones.
Each recording session is a seperate folder so you
don't have to listen a long time. I strap it to my
wrist when I use the handheld and the Arrow antenna.
One finger sets the recorder rolling, I look wierd but
that is important also, hi.
