How is the schedule decided? I notice that all of the time where the
spacecraft is on, it has just come to Japan. It does not have sunlight by
the time it gets here to North America. Does the control station have to
turn-on the satellite every orbit? I understand that the battery has
failed, so it is my assumption that the satellite must be activated manually
by a control station after resumption of sunlight. Is this true?
If that is true, then is there some way that another control station in the
opposite hemisphere can make the satellite useful over here? Lastly, is
there any way that the process can be automated?
Thanks,
Auke
