Just a suggestion:
Try wood dowel rod driven inside a schedule 20 PVC pipe.
These items should be available locally wood is several times stronger than
steel PVC protects the wood.

Subject: [amsat-bb] where to get Fiberglass rod for elevation rotors
Wondering if anyone can suggest where they got their fiberglass
elevation supports for antennas from?
I have a friend who is looking for longer pieces than I have for
a project and I can't find any of the info that has been mentioned
on the -bb over the years. Probably just not doing the right word
searches.
Thanks,
James W8ISS
