Gerry,

You have discovered the First Rule of Troubleshooting:  "Most 
problems are simple"!

Too often we fear the complicated problem and overlook that simple 
things happen most often.
    * Is there a source of power
    * Is there a break in connections
    * Is a switch or setting wrong
You probably can add to this list of simple things.
