"OLPC" *is* the "One Laptop Per Child" project. These are small, low-powered "kid sized" laptops that run a version of Linux, and are extremely rugged.
I had one for a few months and then sold it as it didn't meet my needs. I'm not knocking it, but it was too small for me to use comfortably.
