My experience with a set of M2 eggbeater antennas (EB-144 and EB-432) has
exceeded all my expectations. My antennas are about 20 feet in the air (just
about roof-ridge height) and behind tree canopy for about 180 deg az. I have
a pair of Icom preamps and 30' of good quality coax. I run about 75 watts
with an Icom IC-910H.
Results with ISS are excellent on all modes (U/V, V/U, voice, packet, and
SSTV). I get full quieting above about 5 deg and have worked Mike Fincke and
received SSTV right down to the horizon.
I have also had good results on FO-29, VO-52 and AO-51.
I would echo the comments of Jim KQ6EA with regard to the CopperWeld wire.
Be careful.
Of course, your mileage may vary, but I am very pleased.
