Howard, The one encouraging thing is they seem to be making progress in resolving the problem. It remains to be seen whether they will bring it up to TH-D7 standards. Having recently flashed mine to the latest firmware, and with a good external preamp, it may be time to give it another go. Alan WA4SCA
