On a somewhat related note I'm contemplating trying some portable sattelite operation on FO29 and VO52 with my Icom 706 and a laptop running SAT32PC for doppler shift controll.

Any one have any thoughts as to how successfull this will be (I have yet to purchase the needed module to computer controll my Icom 706.)    I am aware that the Icom 706 is not full duplex and have made numerous contacts on these two birds using either separate radios or an FT 736.

I'll probably just try this at some point but any comments would be great.

SatPC32 works great, and will control both of those radios together or one
at a time. Call Martha at the AMSAT office or get it from
http://www.amsat-na.com/store/category.php?c=Software . There is a discount
if you sign up as a member at the same time too!
