Hello Larry,
Yes you can record AO-51 & GO-32 digital data using your sound card.
Douglas Quagliana has written a program to record and play back 9600 bps
data. This is very useful in checking out your ground station and looking
at the data later. AMSAT offers a Digital Disk with these programs and it
has already recorded 9600 bps digital files to check out your demodulating
and decoding system and software. WiSP and TLMEcho are also on the Digital
Disk to decode and display the digital data.

I have an FT-847 and I can't decode at S 5 (your mileage may vary), the DCD
LED lights which means that the modem can recover the clock, but I am a long
way from full decode of the data. You need a very good S/N ratio to reliably
copy the TLM.
AO-51 will probably be in TLM mode next week, so you can try, it probably
will be running 700-800 mW. I need a pre-amp at the antenna to reliably
copy AO-51 and GO-32 digital data.
