Lots of good information on there Alan, thanks.  Another site I just

I just received a telephone call from a ham in El Salvador who heard  
me on the ISS.  He was using an old Azden 2 meter mobile with a  
discone antenna.  He asked me about my station since he's very  
interested in getting on at least the FM birds for now.  He gave me  
the link above.  I suggested that he pickup a dual band full duplex  
HT, with a handheld antenna (Arrow or Elk), as that would probably be  
the easiest and most economical way.  So hopefully we'll hear YS1MS,  
Jose on the sats soon.
