Add the Icom IC-2820. Before I purchased one I was told by several people
on here that it wasn't full-duplex, one of them that owned one wasn't sure.
I called Icom and was told by them that it wasn't. Before I bought mine I
tested it and guess what, it was full-duplex. This operating parameter , so
useful to sat operators isn't even mentioned in the manual that Icom
supplies with the 2820. I replaced my aging D-700 with the 2820, and a
Kenwood 710 control head. Now I have a sat user friendly full-duplex, DSTAR
capable mobile, that will also transmit and receive APRS(using the built in
GPS) and regular packets.
