I didn't hear either pass this morning. The first one was 38 degrees to the east, the second was 18 degrees to the west.
However ... I know of at least one operator who did hear stations on both passes this morning (i.e., 11:25-ish UTC and 13:05-ish UTC) on the 435.300 downlink, and worked some on the first pass. I telephoned him when I didn't hear anything on the first pass, then used the second to troubleshoot potential problems here. When I didn't hear anything by mid-pass (and even at 18 degrees, I routinely hear any of the satellites clearly here), I switched to AO-7 and copied stations in SSB. I tried that with and without my duplexer, and copied both ways.
So, it appears as though AO-51 is working, but may not have the transmit power just now we're all used to.
73 to all,
