Norm,

Those SS keepers are easy to get.  M2 sells them by the bag, and I had no
trouble finding them at the local "Fasteners R US" for much less.  A Dremel
will work, and you can also cut them with a small set of diagonal cutters.
Cut them off one side of each element, and you will save a lot of
measurement work in reinstalling the elements.
