All,

yes it is a real challenge - but I heard many beacons from CP4 long time ago
(sometimes in 5-minutes interval !)

The most important thing is to listen to CW header (6 seconds) - in this
time you can adjust the frequency and catch the packet burst. I hope it's
the same like CP4....
A running spectrum analyzer software is very helpful. So you can quickly
adjust the frequency to the right value.

It's in German but I think you can understand the way I went.

Another way is to record the beacon and then analyze the burst with MixW.
There is an CUSTOM AFSK mode.

I second your comments. Waiting 2 minutes for a 1 second burst is going 
to be a challenge indeed, even with computer controlled receiver tracking.

Jason, I trust you have the transmit sequence correct?? What's the 
planned Pout? What's the best link to tech details?

But we can always use a new challenge so the very best of luck to your team.
