The frequency update rate depends on the update interval you select under
the CAT menu. Note that the interval is the frequency change, not a time
interval.
There are 2 separate tuning interval options you can select: one for SSB/CW
signals, and one for FM signals. Typically, a tuning interval of 100Hz is
fine for CW and SSB signals, while the FM interval should be set according
to the capabilities of your radio and the actual mode of operation. 600 Hz
should be fine for FM voice, while a smaller interval might be desireable
for packet.
Regardless of the interval you choose, updates will happen faster near the
center of a pass....
