Hi Ronald
The artwork in the article is from the Maxim application note and its larger 
than required Hi !
Hence I made my own layout using express pcb.
If you observe my layout is slightly different and I have added the 3.3 v 
regulator (78m33) on the pcb.
For sharpness I had to print at 2x or more on the laser printer and then
reduce it manually while making a transpererncy film for silk screen for 
photo etch method as I made a few pcbs for trial and tesing.
It indeed is good and the pcb layout is sharp.
