For those across this side of the pond and those who may be visiting, Martin
Sweeting (G3YJO and Chairman of AMSAT-UK) will be presenting this lecture
entitled
"Ordinary components, extraordinary missions - the role of small satellites
in space exploration" on Tuesday 19th January 2010.
The lecture will be in London.
"The Appleton Lecture was established in 1965 to commemorate the life and
work of Sir Edward Appleton, a widely honoured physicist and Nobel Prize
winner who is mainly noted for research into the upper atmosphere. Professor
Sir Martin Sweeting's talk will be the 45th in the series."
This lecture is free to attend and you do not have to be a member of the
IET.
