RS-10/11 was my first satellite as well, with a Drake R-4B for the downlink, 
and the Drake T-4XB and TC-2 transmit converter for the uplink.  A homebrew 
2-meter turnstile and a 10 meter dipole in the attic, and I had a blast!!
