I don't have a 5400 myself, but the Tracker will certainly work from a
software perspective. What I'm not totally sure of is the electrical
interface: the LVB Tracker provides open collector active pull down
up/down/cw/ccw control. It expects Az/El feedback of 0 to 5V (can be
calibrated for less) and it should be low impedance (~<1k ohm). The ground
return to the Az/El feedback must be very low impedance.

I have a couple of rather old scanned docs on my PC, one's for a KR500 Az
only rotator which would need relays (with appropriate back EMF diodes)
placed across the up/down switches and possibly an opamp buffer on the
feedback pots. The other called "kenpro.jpg" that quite possibly someone
sent me asking the same question as you, and it is a section of a schematic
that shows PNP transistors and relays already in place, and a buffer for the
feedback pots, just like the Yaesu G5500, so that can be directly connected.

I have a Kenpro 5400 (with the plug in the back of the box). Is anyone
using LVB Tracker with that unit?

It is going up right after some refurb and a thaw here.
