Hi Charlie
Thanks, I have refrained from suggesting that you can program the tracker
through a USB rather than a real hardware RS232 port. The reason is that the
programming method I designed sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, and at
any rate it's a lot slower when it does work. Despite scratching my head
over this for some time, I never got to the bottom of it, so rather than
saying it might work I preferred to just say use a hardware RS232 port! That
way it saves me a lot of grief!

will work through a Keyspan USA-19HS USB to
Serial Convertor. Not sure if you can program it that way?
