It was nice  working you, Ray.  I have used the MFJ-1717 with a W32A 
HT for a hundred or so contacts.

I was working you from my home station using a cheap MFJ ground plane 
with a pre-amp for receive on a Yaesu FT-817, and an MFJ Pulsar 
dual-band antenna for uplink with a Yaesu FT-857.  I firmly promote 
the idea that you don't need to spend a thousand dollars or more to 
work the birds.

Maybe we will work on FD - I will be using the KK5W call sign of the 
Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club.
