I generally agree with these questions, but how do you explain the Icom IC-7800? That's a $10,000 rig!

I personally am planning on skipping the "all-in-one" box (even if it actually existed) and will be building an SDR/Transverter based system eventually. I think you have much better control of your environment with the SDR/Xverter combo.
