...but I bet they know what liability and lost of life mean.  However, not to undermind the quality and performance of ham homebrew equipment.  Some can even be better than commercial!  just my 2 cents ;)

Only because they have nobody on their staff who knows what an antenna is.
They don't pay high bucks for the fun of it.
