Hi,
 
Like all others who knew him, I was saddened to learn of John's  passing.  
As an executive vice president and director, he made many  important 
contributions to AMSAT, quite a few of which were behind the  scenes.  John and I 
didn't always agree, but as Dee said on ANS, his  opinions were always worth 
listening to.  I learned a lot from him.
 
John will be missed.
