One last thing - if you are running APRS, make sure you shut the beacon off
before you switch to the satellite uplink. I made this mistake until I
started hearing packets on the downlink... ;-)

Funny - I just used it for the first time mobile this past Thursday..... It
seemed to work really well. I worked SO67, so I am not overly sure on the
audio quality since SO67's audio is different from AO51/27/etc. The receive
was not very good, but a preamp should help. I was using a dual band 1/4
wave (2m) mag mount antenna, and with the built in duplexer I had no trouble
hearing my downlink. The one thing I do not like is the power settings -
you have 5w, 25w or 50w. If you are having trouble getting in with 5w, your
only other option is 25w.

Has anyone tried using the Yaesu FTM-350AR mobile to work the FM
satellites. It is stated in the manual that it is a full-duplex radio.
Been looking at something to use mobile. I would appreciate any input
anyone might have. Thanks. << John
