Due to a big mess-up on my part, I had to switch a few things around with
LoTW.....
First: (And I know I am going to get shot for doing this) All QSOs for
KD8KSN, both *portable* and from my home QTH get uploaded as KD8KSN - NOT
KD8KSN/8, /9, /0, etc. Logging it as KD8KSN will get you credit for the QSO
and grids. I am really sorry to do this, especially after I heard a few of
you went and changed things last night. This will make it much simpler in
the long run if you don’t have to worry about identifiers on the front or
back. Again - upload to LoTW as KD8KSN every time you work me - portable or
not, unless I say otherwise.
Second: I uploaded all of my grid boundary QSOs yesterday with a "/"
between the grid. If you worked me at a boundary, you will get credit for
the contact, BUT NOT the grids. I did not realize that you had to do a ","
instead of the "/", which will create an error. I redid all of the grid
boundary QSOs and uploaded them again a few minutes ago, under KD8KSN. You
may want to check and make sure you got credit for any boundaries you have
worked me at.
Third: The ITU and CQ zones were set incorrectly on both portable and home
QTH QSOs yesterday. They were corrected with my portable QSOs that I had to
redo because of the grid mess-up, but they will be incorrect on all of my
home QTH QSOs leading up to yesterday. I corrected the ITU and CQ zones in
TQSL for future uploads.
PLEASE email me with questions or if something doesn’t match up.

I should have never said that...... ;-)

Subject: [amsat-bb] KD8KSN and KD8KSN/8 QSOs Now in LoTW
Well, that sure was easy enough. That was one of the first times in awhile
that I have followed the instructions on something and it has actually
worked! ;-)
I uploaded all QSOs that were in my log DATED **10-24-2010** TO PRESENT. Up
until Oct. 24 I used paper logs. 268 regular and 73 portable QSOs were
uploaded with only 40 matches (?????). My home QTH is self explanatory, but
here is a breakdown of my portable uploads:
KD8KSN/8 – EN80sa/EM89sx – October 30, 2010 – 22 QSOs
KD8KSN/8 – EN70vb – November 29, 2010 – 7 QSOs
KD8KSN/8 – EN90ba/EM99bx – December 17, 2010 – 30 QSOs
KD8KSN/8 – EN90ba/EM99bx – January 29, 2011 – 14 QSOs
Note that I use the designator “8” after my call instead of “P.” Whenever
you work me portable, log my call+whatever designator I am in (ie. KD8KSN/4;
KD8KSN/0). Do not use /P or /M.
Please email me with any questions or if you don’t have a match when you
think you should.
Also, I am working on getting the KD8KSN/8 EN90/EM99 cards out from last
weekend. I placed the order a week ago, but I have not got a shipping
confirmation yet. I will send out an email once I mail them. Expect about
2 weeks max (hopefully).
